Hi, I’d like some advice please. My sister died earlier this year suddenly and at the time she had a fixed rate mortgage with ANZ. she left her house to me, so when it was sold the money came to me. ANZ charged $4,527.61 penalty for breaking the fixed rate contract – even though she did not do it on purpose and actually died. They have already charged it and declined our request to have it waived.
Is there any more we can do? thanks
